Current
Certifications
C.A.S.I (Canadian Association for Snowboard Instructors) Level
1, completed in March 2009: This
Certification allows for me to teach snowboarders of all ages professional
lessons that vary from beginner lessons to intermediate/advanced lessons. I
have used this certification for 3 years at Lakeridge Ski Resort and look
forward to using it again in the future.
Standard First Aid with CPR C completed in November 2012:This course taught me how to deal with emergency situations, including heart attacks and strokes, as well as how to provide CPR.

Counterbalance Propane Forklift License completed in June 2012: This Certification allows for me to drive and operate counterbalance propane forklifts, as well as how to deal with maintenance and refueling. I now have many hours experience using forklifts from my time at Whittamore's Farm.

Bronze Medallion completed in November 2012: This certification gave me knowledge on how to ensure the safety of people in an aquatic atmosphere, and respond in emergency situations. This also certifies that I have passed a physical and an adequate skill in swimming.
Future Certifications
C.A.S.I. Level 2: In the future I would like to upgrade my C.A.S.I Level 1
into C.A.S.I Level 2 which would help further my own riding abilities, as well
as being able to teach more advanced techniques.
Wilderness First Responder (WFR): I would like to upgrade my Standard
First Aid to Wilderness First Responder, as I would like to be able to lead
trips into the bush and be comfortable in situations where someone gets
injured. In the future I would like to become a teacher at a High School and
teach an Outdoor Recreation program, and I believe this will help me become a
more effective teacher.
Smart Serve: I would like to
receive my smart serve so that I could serve alcohol in a restaurant setting. I
would like to receive this so that I can work in the food industry, which will
be relevant for when I travel abroad.
